THOUGHTS FROM A BOX CHILD

Years from now maybe I will have compiled my thoughts and history into something more substantial and understandable, but until then I have my meager ramblings.

One of the hardest tasks one could do in life... is dismantling "the box". I'm not sure if other people have a name for it, im sure there's some technically mumbo jumbo out there, but this is what a significant other and I have come to call it. "The box" is a state of mind that, usually unbeknownst to you, is imposed on you by society and those who control society. Both consciously and subconsciously you are told what to expect, what to want, how to react to situations, how to simply think. Brainwashing from birth basically, many people do not realize its presence and retain the prototypes they've been given.

"The box" has been the source of many issues and much heartache for me over the past few years. I cannot very well say I wish it wasn't so, 'cause afterall I would never have gotten to where I am now without my experiences. But at times  I do feel bad that myself and others were hurt on account of stubborn notions and behaviors embeded in me. These days I am actively trying to dismantle my box, something that will take time and every day requires patience and coping, but in the end I know will pay off. You think you're an independent thinker, until you fully realize what independent thinking is.

At this time in my life, progress is my main interest, both internally and externally. I've been caught up in so much BS, I remember how much higher consciousness and the experience of life means to me. I've come to realize this is a journey that, when it comes down to it, I must take alone, and if I must depend on anyone it should be myself. Regardless of attachment and my predisposition to care for others, I am responsible for myself and my own effect on the world and noone elses. I mean all of this in the most positive light btw.

I feel like there is much more to all this than I am able to explain, but this has been some of it. I am looking forward to a more enlightened future and better times. And if you actually read this kudos to you and thank you for being a part of my life.

CAPRICORN-AQUARIUS CUSP & LEO II (aka Me & the Boy)

Following is from the book "The Secret Language of Relationships"

Leo II (the week of balanced strength) + Capricorn-Aquarius Cusp (cusp of mystery & imagination) = "Laserlike Intensity"

Strengths: Stimulating, intense, risk-taking
Weaknesses: Stressful, unforgiving

"Together these two are capable of great achievements. Their relationship can be a dynamic one in which they stimulate each other to lift both their behavior and their consciousness to a higher level. They must be sure, however, not to burn holes in themselves, or in other people, through the intensity of their connection. Drawing up guidelines, establishing structures and agreeing on boundaries will all be wise steps to take to preserve a healthy relationship.

If these partners are serious about each other they must be willing to invest time in patiently getting to know each other. Should they marry, Leo II calmness under fire will generally ground Capricorn-Aquarian's more excitable temperament.

Advice: Seek moderation & calm. Lower your stress level. Direct your energies intelligently. Get to know each other better at a deep level."Haha yup thats us

5 THINGS I DID TODAY

1. Worked out. Today's work out lacked structure but still felt good. Pretty much just put on some tunes, did various exercises, then eventually just found myself havin' a solo dance party in my family room haha. Also completed laundry simultaneously yay.

2. Paid a bill. Yeah, paid off the remainder of a hospital bill. Provided me with brief trip to American Fork 'cause they charge 10 more dollars to pay it over the phone, so figured it'd be a little less to just drive.

3. Had good karma. I found $5 in a pair of pants whilst doing laundry :) Also went to Starbucks later on, took in a points card expecting to just receive points, then the cashier told me there was $5 balance on the card :)

4. Cleaned my car. Still have some work to do on it, the coin vacuums at some places really suck... not in the way they should lol. But it already looks a lot better, I don't think I've cleaned it since before winter lol.

5. Explored Holladay. Brittany and I decided we needed to find something new and ended up in a part of Holladay. There are so many cute lil old houses and fun boutiques and shops and natural living stores. We stopped into a place called "Top It", it looked cool from the outside, it was adequate, same deal as Yogurtland. All in all it was nice to have an adventure.

FIVE THINGS I COULD EAT EVERYDAY

1. Cream Cheese Wontons. They are exceptionally delicious, I wish I had an infinite supply with sweet and sour sauce. Yeah they are just heavenly

2. Pumpkin Roll &/or Pumpkin Bread w icing. Somewhat seasonal but I would eat it anytime if possible. It seems as though I like cream cheese lol.

3. Cafe Rio. Their barbacoa pork is pretty fantastic :)

4. Training Table Cheese Fries w dipping sauce. I have great memories of Training Table and their cheese fries will forever be awesome.

5. Barbeque Chicken. Honey bbq is the best, but buffalo also acceptable. I like my chicken to be bathing in sauce. I love most things w bbq sauce.
